My technique is utilization of “natural light,” that is what inspires me. Film is my medium of choice – Kodak 400 TMAX, 35mm format. I now have my own darkroom and studio built in early 2010. I have also been working with digital format for about five years.
My background and knowledge in photography has been accumulated over the years on a “hands-on” basis, from mentoring with other professional photographers, working with professional labs in developing, and from instructional photography classes at local community colleges.
My equipment ranges from my “fave” Minolta SRT201 film camera (1970s) and my newest is a Canon T2i purchased in 2011. I love historical settings and landscape photography is my mainstay. However, I have been laboring on some photo transfers onto water color paper which is a lot of fun too!
I have been in numerous galleries in the Sacramento and Auburn areas since 2003; however, High Hand Gallery is now my home base.
